Summer Recipe Roundup

Sunday, July 26, 2015

Hey y'all! It's Sunday Yumday and you know what that means! Tasty recipes! I didn't get a chance to make anything new this time, but I figured I'd share some of my favorite recipes from last summer because it is the perfect time to make them! They all involve some sort of fresh seasonal ingredient like berries or melon, so get to making them while you still can, and please let me know if you do! Below each photo is a link to the recipe. If you make anything please let me know by tagging me @ryapie and hashtagging it with #RecipesWithRya

This recipe has got to be one of my most baked from last summer. Michael ate these for breakfast all the time, and the glaze is most certainly finger-licking good! Click here for the recipe!

This summer twist on banana bread was super popular with the ladies at my work, who ate it all up before my shift was even over! The berries add a light freshness to the density of the bread, and it is great for parties or any sort of gathering (or just for you). Recipe here

These little brownie bites are much different than your traditional brownie! With the hints of spice that chai lattes offer, these golden goodies come out light and fluffy, perfect for a bite sized snack. Super easy to make, these just use powdered chai latte mix! Click here for recipe!

If you haven't figured it out yet, there were a ton of blueberries on my property last summer. M and I had a basically limitless amount, which really let me explore their yummy possibilities. These muffins are also great for breakfast, and are quick and easy like all my recipes. See steps here!

I made these pancakes off the top of my head one morning when Michael went to pick a friend up from the airport, and they were certainly popular! I love cooking for guests whenever I get the chance, and these will make any brunch or breakfast delicious and simple. Recipe here!

This one happens to by my absolute favorite from last summer, and that may be because it was such a surprise to me! I asked M to make me a fruit salad for when I came home from work and this is what he invented! In my mind fruit salad is just a big bowl filled with various fruits, but I'm so happy he saw it differently because this is seriously amazing! We're still making it this year, and once watermelon is no longer in season I'll certainly be sad. Click here for recipe

These are blackberry brownie cookies, since they are the only photo without a label. These  have me wondering if I should start putting the recipe name on my photos again...anywho, I made these for some festive reason or another and people flipped over them! If you know me, you know that I don't really like chocolate, but these were in high demand after my first batch, so for those of you who like chocolate, you should check them out! Recipe here!

These little guys were something that I concocted for my dear friend Seán's birthday party. He said he liked cheesecake, so I went and made these. I think the raspberry gives a fun seasonal twist on an otherwise year-round kind of dessert. Try it with any berries and it'd be delicious! Steps to yum here!

And last, but certainly not least, these amazing muffins! Once again, these are fantastic for breakfast, and since M and I both love our cornbread, these didn't last long around the house. A great way to use up those summer blueberries before they go bad! Recipe here!
