On The Weekends

Saturday, July 25, 2015

So to catch you up with all the craziness that has happened with me since M and I left our little cabin will take a hot second. M and I moved up to his parent's house as planned, but I only stayed there for a little over a week before deciding to move back home with my parents. Basically, things were just too stressful with a bunch of people in one house (M, me, his brother, and his parents), and since they just got new carpet I had to chase Chai everywhere she went to make sure she didn't have any accidents. The stress was wearing on M and I, so when I came home to photograph Delaney and Andrew's wedding, I just ended up staying. It may seem a little crazy, but we're both much happier without me being constantly stressed out. It ended up working for my parents as well because they're about to have some renovations done to the house to make it officially handicap accessible for my step father, who has MS. My mom can use all the help I can provide with moving things, and handling animals, and just general help, so I feel good about not being a burden on them. It's all alright at the end of the day.

So now that M and I are about an hour and a half away, we've been seeing each other during his weekends, which are usually a Tuesday and a Wednesday, or a Wednesday and a Thursday, or something that isn't actually the weekend. It's really strange to only see him two days a week after living together for over a year, and I can most certainly say that I do not like it one bit. It is better though, because no one should stay in a place that creates stress or negativity for them. I know that after we save up enough money, we'll be living together again, and I can't wait for that. It is hard to sleep without him. But, since we're only on "weekends" for now, hit me up with any cheap date ideas you may have!

Oh! We went and saw Inside Out together for one of our little dates, and it is amazing. Seriously, you need to see it. I cried like a baby, M did his best not to cry...it blew us away. We already want to go see it again. See it now! Now! And if you have seen it, talk to me about it!

  1. Shucks, what a crazy time you've been having!! Deep breaths, you're right, it's for the best and soon enough, you'll both be back in your own place!! It all works out in the end!!

  2. I love these pictures! I really want to do some sort of shoot with my husband as the focus; I've always loved seeing other bloggers' S/O's and think it's just lovely to share them once in a while! And M looks fantastic! I can't imagine having to live away from someone you've lived with for a year -- if I had to live away from my husband I don't think I could. I would never sleep. Haha, he always laughs at me because I have SUCH a hard time sleeping if he isn't in bed too, even if he's in the same room and just on his computer or something.

I hope you guys can find a place to be together again soon!

    1. Thank you, Kristina! I would love to see a post of your husband! I definitely love getting peaks into other blogger's lives. And I understand the sleeping alone thing. It is really hard. I'm not gunna lie, I sleep with a stuffed animal when he's not there.
