In The Rose Garden

Wednesday, July 22, 2015

I have been saving this dress for a semi-special occasion. When I first saw it on ModCloth I flipped out and immediately showed it to my mom and Michael, who both agreed it was pretty dang snazzy. It took me awhile to actually buy it because money was tight, and I definitely didn't need another dress, but this one is just so unique that I eventually decided that it was worth the money and went ahead and got it. I am super thankful I did because it fits like a retro dream, is my favorite color, and has psychedelic looking deer all over it. Basically, it is the dream. I was so excited when M and I finally made concrete plans to go to the zoo because I knew I would finally have a chance to wear it! Michael wore his giraffe shirt, so we were quite the pair.

This gorgeous rose garden happens to be completely free to enter right outside of the zoo. Can you believe it? I guess it makes sense for how ridiculously overpriced the zoo is, at least you get a gorgeous free garden to visit. The weird thing is how empty it was. There were maybe three or four other people who moseyed in and out while we were taking photos. I could have definitely spent all day in that garden. So peaceful. Although it was stupid hot, I will say that much. I kind of felt like I needed a more Alice in Wonderland type of ensemble to match it, but I'll save that for next time.

Also, just as a heads up, this dress is 70% off right now apparently (which kind of made me cry a little) so you should definitely snag it if you're into it.
