Out On Manke Road

I'm beginning to think that red is my color. It's not really a color I am normally drawn to, but lately I'm beginning to think it really suits me. I think it's because I had red hair for so long and (at least on me) red hair does not go with red clothes. Whatever it is, I am really digging the color lately and am eager to add more red pieces to my wardrobe. This gorgeous dress was generously offered to me by the lovely folks at Pepaloves, and while it also came in pink and yellow (usually my go-to colors), I decided to add a little more zest to my wardrobe. I am so glad I did! Plus, it is such a great dress! It's a little larger than most xs dresses I come by (just in case any of you are curious about the sizing), but I found it to be a lose kind of comfy, not a you-lost-weight-but-still-wear-your-old-clothes-and-look-kind-of-sloppy-now kind of comfy. It's also longer than most dresses in my size, but it's still above the knee, so it's all good. And it's a really nice material and is fully lined on bottom! Total plus! Overall I am in love with the dress and the company. I highly recommend checking them out.

As far as life lately, things are still pretty hectic. I'm feeling a lot better about moving now that I've found out that my good friend Katrina is actually looking for a place with her boyfriend up there as well, so now we're planning on all living together! This is great because not only will rent actually be affordable (four people in a two bedroom? score!), but I'll actually know someone up there, which was really stressful for me. Just having one kindred spirit near me will make the entire moving process so much better! I'm actually looking forward to it now. It'll be a great adventure. Plus, in all reality, Seattle isn't too far from Olympia.

I hope you guys are all doing well and enjoying your (now officially) summer!

  2. That dress is SO CUTE! I wish I could get it here in Morocco!
Sidenote, I am currently at the "you-lost-weight-but-still-wear-your-old-clothes-and-look-kind-of-sloppy-now" stage you mentioned. I think it's time for me to go on a much needed shopping spree.

  5. I love red, and it looks fabulous on you. I think it's a color that looks pretty amazing on everyone! I've seen it worn with red hair, and I think it can be done! I also love your hair. I wish I was bold enough to cut mine so short. I don't think it would look right on me. :\

    1. I think you could totally pull off short hair! Although I do envy girls with hair longer than mine (or boys too, haha), I can never seem to escape the short!
