Whispering Wisteria

This dress makes me so sad-happy. I'm happy because the color is great, the cut is amazing, and I always get a stupid amount of compliments when I wear it. I'm sad because when I put it on this day, I realized that it's too big on me now. Tragic. It doesn't look too bad in these photos because I actually wore a real bra for once and fastened the belt pretty tight, but unfortunately I think it's time to wish this beautiful baby adieu. I usually donate my clothes to Goodwill, but given that this is such a gorgeous piece in perfect condition, I was debating selling it on Insta. Would anyone be down for that? Let me know!

ARK & CO DRESS FROM MODCLOTH :: OLD EARRINGS :: PAYLESS BOOTIES :: MAC LIPSTICK IN TAUPE

As for my life lately, it struck me that I should probably make some graduation announcements to send out to my family. In high school they tell you when to do all that stuff, so I was just waiting for an email from the college or something, but apparently we're just supposed to be on top of our lives, haha.

Also, isn't this wisteria amazing? We moved here later in the year last year, so we never got to see the wisteria in bloom. It is definitely my all time favorite garden plant (sunflowers aside, of course). I hope your spring is going well, and I have some exciting things coming soon, so stick around!

  2. Washington has the best looking trees! I'm jealous, haha. In Texas the prettiest plant we get are bluebonnet flowers & they're only here for about 3 weeks -___-

I love the color of your dress (chartreuse I think?), it's a shame it doesn't fit anymore. I'm always donating clothes to Goodwill as well! Who ever gets it is a lucky lady :)

    1. I have always wanted to visit Texas. I love desert climates. Being from Arizona, I appreciate a good cactus probably more than a pretty tree, but they each have their glories.
And it is quite a shame, but oh well, room for more clothes!

  3. Gosh, what gorgeous photos! This tree is incredible. Bidding farewell to beloved pieces is SO difficult. I would suggest alterations, but it seems too big in other places besides the waist (like the shoulders/arms), so it might not be worth the money. Hopefully you'll be able to find a replacement you love just as much! I have to round up a bunch of stuff for a shop my closet sale, myself.

    1. The tree is absolutely everything in my yard right now. I will be beyond depressed to see it go, but on the plus side that'll mean summer is here!
Alteration is a great idea, but I have no clue who in town is even good at it. I am so afraid I'll drop something off and get it back all muffed up, haha. I don't know anyone who gets things tailored!
I definitely need to start a "shop my closet" thing, but I don't think I have enough followers to even sell anything, haha.

  4. That tree is beautiful, and so are you! I love that dress. I was eyeing it on ModCloth's website a while ago. If you haven't sold it (I know I'm so late on this. I'm trying to catch up on blog-reading!), then I would be interested in buying it depending on the size! :)

    1. Yes! I get so behind on things too, speaking of which I need to email you back, which I'll be doing right after I respond to my comments! So behind!
