Seaside, Oregon

So on Wednesday Michael, Chai, and I took a trip down to Seaside for a spontaneous mini vacation. He knew I'd been stressing out and needed a getaway. I was so excited because Seaside holds some amazing memories for me. My grandparents used to live there, so my family would drive down for holidays, or just because and we'd window shop and hang out at the beach...basically the works.

Michael set everything up, got us a hotel room, planned some things for us to do. It was amazing. However, right before we left, Lady Foot snuck out and I could tell M was stressing about it all day. He didn't want to say anything though, because he was afraid it would ruin my time on our trip. (So silly.) By the time evening rolled around I could tell he was really torn up, having lost his childhood cat recently because it went out and never came home. So we drove to the hotel and I told him we should just check out and go home, which is exactly what we did. We got home at one in the morning, and LF came in soon after like nothing ever happened, of course.

The day was super amazing, and I wasn't upset about leaving early at all. I was just super happy to hang out with my man and my pup. Chai had never been on a long drive with us before, and she acted like a perfect little princess. Also, seeing her on the beach for the first time was beyond priceless. She loved it! Anywho, below are some photos from our trip that I particularly enjoyed.

Overall, it was a really good trip and I'm glad Lady is ok. Also, we definitely have a lifetime supply of saltwater taffy now. We each got a bag for our parents, and Michael put all the gross or weird flavors into his parent's bag mixed together with the good ones. He's so sneaky. I only gave my parents good flavors, but that's because I'm a good kid. Oh! And I kicked Michael's butt at air hockey. I reign supreme. Then we played other various arcade games and gave our tickets to families with kids. It was great.

I hope you're able to take a fun trip this spring! Check out Seaside if you're nearby, because it's amazing. Outfit post to follow, so you'll be seeing more of my fluffy coat and these amazing sunnies.

  1. Could Michael look any more like a fella straight out of a 40s movie? He's rocking those suspenders!!

    1. He definitely is! I wish he would have committed to his own fashion blog bc I think he's a pretty dapper fella, but he gave up after two posts, haha!

    1. Yes, it was such a fun time! I really want to go back just to see Chai on the beach again! Most of the "beaches" in Washington are rocks, not sand, so I need to find a closer one to let her run around on.
