House Hunters

As I'm sure you all know by now, Michael and I will be moving to Seattle once I graduate (June 12th! Ah!), and if you didn't know...Michael and I will be moving to Seattle once I graduate. We spent Friday, which he freakishly had off, driving around to a few different places with my mom to see if they could be a possibility. The first two were scratched off pretty quickly because they were pretty far outside of the city in the blandest place I have ever seen. We fell completely in love with the third place, which was in Fremont. I insisted from the beginning that Fremont was the place to go, but Michael wasn't too hip on the idea...until we got there and then he was all about it. I knew he'd like it. It's removed from the center of the city, which would completely overwhelm me, and yet still urban enough for M to enjoy and not feel stifled. Sadly, as ideal as the last location was, it apparently was no dogs allowed.

The great thing about seeing the last apartment was that we met, quite possibly, the nicest landlord in the world. He was this quirky older man who gave us tons of advice on finding a place to live and let us know one of his other properties may be opening up quite soon. He even told us to call him if we ever need any help finding a place to stay or work! We ran into him again after the showing and he played with Chai and talked for a bit. Overall, M and I were super happy that we accidentally saw a "no dogs" place because we never would have met Fred, and he was beyond kind and helpful.

Here's hoping everyone's spring is going swell, and that things are relaxing and not too busy! Also, this skirt is still available at Forever 21 ($10!), but whenever I click on it to try and link it, it just takes me to the women's denim page...so that's weird. You can find it by searching "polka dot skirt" in case you're interested!

  1. I love the mixed dottiness going on in this outfit! I actually have a skirt almost exactly like yours that I picked up in the clearance rack in the children's section of Target a couple years ago. I need to wear it again soon! It's a perfect summer skirt.

Good luck with finishing up your apartment hunt! My boyfriend and I just did that this month and we'll be moving at the end of the week. It's an exciting time!

    1. Thank you so much!
The skirt really is a great staple! I have one in the same colors but with a small floral print that I need to wear again if the sun ever comes back out!
Moving is so exciting! We're going to the city, so it's stressing me out, but it'll be great in the long run, I know. Exciting that you're moving as well!

    1. Thank you! It was a stroke of outfit genius! I think sometimes I pick out the best combos when I'm sleepy, haha.
And it is definitely fun! Although stressful too, but I'm a worrier!

  3. I LOVE the dots in this outfit! And the yellow is gorgeous on you.
And you're moving to Seattle??? AAAH! That's just a little ferry ride away from me and it means we could meet up easier once you move! Fremont really is a nice area of Seattle, and I hope you find a good place to stay!
