Birthday Cake Ice Cream Cone

Friday, April 17, 2015

I had such a good day when these were taken. Michael and I drove to Yelm to get the tail cut off my hair, but, after looking at it, Allison decided we should just let it be for a bit since it lays so dang funky when she cuts it off. So, we decided to have lunch with my parents and hopped in the car to go to M and I's fav sushi place. It was delicious. M and I then ran some errands, including spending way too long trying to find the perfect yoga mat. After that, we swung downtown to get an ice cream cone and take some outfit photos. The plan was to split a single cone, since Michael is lactose intolerant, however he was not pleased with my birthday cake decision (which I picked mostly because I thought it'd look best with my outfit lol), so he got his own blackberry cheesecake scoop, which was amazing.

Whenever Michael and I get ice cream downtown we go to Grandpa's. And you should too. It's an old school ice cream shop that will take you right back to the good ol' days, even if (like me) you never experienced them in the first place. Plus M and I get all nostalgic about it for another reason. Before we lived together, M rented an apartment downtown where I pretty much lived with him. We were pretty much beyond broke, and one day I had a huge craving for ice cream and M spent his last five dollars buying me a cone from Grandpa's. True love right there.

Speaking about Grandpa's, I think I'm going to start working on a 'places to go' type post for downtown. I mean, we've been here long enough, together we can definitely speak to where to go. Yep. I think I'll be starting that. Let me know what you think!

Also, I plan to do a tutorial for the makeup I did in this post! I just loved how the eyeshadow came out so much, and I've been wanting to do a tutorial video soon, so there will be that as well!

And lastly, as always, don't forget you can still use the code ryapiexoxo to get your first month of Rocksbox for free! Time is running out before it goes to 50% off, which is still awesome, but not free. I loved this necklace from my second set so much that I decided to keep it. So glad I did because it went with this outfit perfectly! Anywhizzle, head over to Rocksbox.com if you're curious about what they do and how it works. Or just browse my previous posts, where I've gone a little more in depth. Most of you probably know how it works by now, so I'm keeping it short and sweet from here on out.
