Michael's Fruity Salad

So the other day M had the whole day off and I worked a terribly slow four hour shift, and was really needing us to do something special together because I feel like we get such little time. I asked him if he'd make me a fruit salad for dinner, since the day prior I binge ate some Dorritos after thinking I hit a bird when I was driving. In my mind, a fruit salad is just a bunch of fruit all cut up and throw together; pineapple, melon, grapes, apples, etc. In M's mind however, it was this, and I cannot say how happy I am that he had a different concept going on. I would never have thought to put fruit, of any kind, in with greens, but this turned out beyond amazing. I'm obsessed. I ate wayyyyyy too much and then barely had room for the giant fruit, cracker, and cheese platter he prepared as a main course. He always knows just how to make me smile.

This recipe, much like the one I wrote up for the blackberry drizzle that went with the blackberry banana pancakes, doesn't call for exact measurements, but rather you just adding the ingredients to your taste. In my opinion, that makes it easier anyway, and allows more room for personalization! I hope you try this out, because it's to die for.




::Ingredients::

Romaine hearts
Freshly cubed watermelon
Walnuts 
Feta cheese
Raspberry walnut vinaigrette

::Steps::

1. Toss all ingredients together in a large bowl, proportions to your liking. M used one whole romaine heart, 1/4 of a watermelon, 1/3 cup walnuts, 1/2 cup feta, and "just a splash" of the vinaigrette, but you do whatever you like best!

2. Divide, serve, and enjoy!
