Rhubarb Kisses

Yellow is my absolute most favorite color in the world. It's hard to find shades of yellow that look good with my skin tone, so when I found this dress I snatched it up as quick as I could. Plus it's gingham, which is just a must have for any wardrobe in my opinion, but then again, I'm about all things cutesy. Paired with this vintage collar, I was ready to roll!

Michael decided to take me somewhere I hadn't been out to eat yet, and took me to this really yummy place called Mercato in the Market District of Olympia. It's right by where they have the local farmer's market, so the view was nice when we ate outside and we got to see people milling about and buying little plants and such. The food there was beyond amazing too. The perfect food to transition into summer with. We had grilled shrimp wrapped in prosciutto atop a small caprese salad for an appetizer, I had a grilled pear salad, he had the penne pasta, and I got a super tasty strawberry basil lemonade! We finished off with some locally made rhubarb ice sorbetto, since it is rhubarb season in the pacific north west currently. It was beyond tasty. I'll stick some photos at the end of the post if you so wish to gaze upon our tasty meal and a silly photo of us eating the sorbetto together.

I have been so beyond delighted with the weather we're getting. It's not Arizona, I'll say that right now, because it never could be, but it sure it pleasant. Today I just straight up walked to work and back and then to lunch with Michael and then we walked to all the stores we needed to make stops at. It was so nice and I already blew my step count goal out of the water for today, so that's a bonus! If you've been noticing a black bracelet on my wrist in my last few posts, I'm about to do a review post of it, it's a fitness bracelet and I'm in love. I thought I'd be mad with it because I have to wear it all the time, but now it feels weird when I don't have it on. Anyway, that's for another post.

I hope y'all get a chance to eat some yummy rhubarb themed food while they're in season, because they're really doing it up at local shops here this year and it's some tasty fun. I think I may have to have weekly sorbetto dates with M just to take advantage of all the yumminess.

Love & Sunshine,
Rya Pie
