Thanksgiving Attire

Friday, November 29, 2013

I couldn't decide whether or not to break my Thanksgiving photos into one or two posts, one of outfit and one of food, or just combine them, but it seemed so disjointed that I have settled upon two posts so there aren't turkey photos at the end of my outfit post haha. So here's what I wore! (obvi) I actually got this dress while I was down here, and it just seemed too perfect to not wear it. Plus, I can actually get away without wearing tights! It'll be snowing back home soon, so that's huge to me. I hate the cold. The fall here is so sunny and gorgeous and all the grass is brown, which I personally find gorgeous. I have a video blog of my trip down here that I'll put together once my visit is over so y'all can see how gorg it is down here.

So here I am in my kitchen currently, about to make some of my banana pumpkin muffins and take photos for a recipe post, and doing laundry, and packing in my mind, and wondering where the time went on my trip here. I knew it was a short trip because Thanksgiving break is short, but damn did it fly by. Don't get me wrong, I miss my friends like crazy, and can't wait to get back to my new apartment, but it'll always be sad to leave my home behind.
I was talking to Michael on the phone earlier about how I feel like I've been thrust into this strange in-between stage in my life where I am between going home for the holidays and starting to have my own holiday celebrations at home. Partly because of college, and parlay because my parents moved, and partly because of my deep connections at home now. It's a strange spot to be in.
Anyways, I hope everyone had a lovely and filling Thanksgiving!

  1. Just found you via the Modcloth style page; that dress is SO cute. I love the Chevron stripes. Haha, and I love wearing tights! But more for the fun pop of color than because it's cold out. Although I do like the cold when it snows... but only when it snows. Otherwise, it's just boring.

The weather at your parents' looks SO nice, though! Has me dreaming of summer...
    Happy Saturday!

    1. I'm so glad that you found me! And thank you so much for your lovely compliments ^^ I am excited to try wearing this dress with some tights back home where it's about to snow, I just read about the trick of putting on the tights you want to wear over nude tights to stay warm, which is exciting because I'm always freezing in tights haha
I hope you have a lovely day
