Cherrio to Ginger!

Thursday, September 26, 2013

So as I write this, my hair is definitely not this lovely ginger blonde shade anymore. It's not that I didn't like it, but I felt like it was time for change, what with the new school year starting this monday and all. Maybe it's just me, but although the fall clearly isn't the start of the year in a calendrical sense, but things feel fresh and new to me since school always begins in the fall and it's a chance to re-invent yourself. Your style, your look, your friends, your major (if you go to a school that has those haha), or whatever. Things feel fresh even though the weather outside is anything but.

{CARDIGAN: Thrifted TANK: Walmart BELT: This came with a dress I bought forever ago, so I sadly don't really know JEANS: Timing BOOTS: Etienne Aigner RING: Earthbound Trading Company}

     Sometimes I like to describe an article of clothing as, "too ugly to pass up," and this cardigan was one of those such pieces. I found it in Arizona, and am pretty much in love with it, especially when belted. It's strange, most trends don't scare me at all. Colored pants, done. Pattern mixing, done. But for some reason belting cardigans came really late to me, and this was the first time that I actually committed to it and wore a belted cardi out of the house. Weird, huh? I guess we all have our small trends that we may not be so willing to try, but giving them a chance, even if we end up hating them, is always a good idea. Try new things!
     And on that note, I shall bid my ginger hair one last fond goodbye. However you shall be seeing my cherrio card more times this fall to be sure.

  1. Aw, you are just too cute. I love this outfit you've put together, and I love your term "too ugly to pass up," haha! But I must say- that cardigan is a lovely layering piece for sure, and it looks so comfy and cozy and good for long bonfires and cold autumn nights, mmmm....anyway, I think you look fabulous!! Also, thank you so much for your sweet comments on my skirt, I will have to keep you posted on when they will be available! :0) Have a lovely day and an even lovelier weekend!!

    1. Aw, I'm so glad that someone else can fully appreciate that cardi, because I definitely got some interesting comments from my roommate about it haha. I hope you have a great day yourself, I don't get comments too often, so this made my day ^^

    1. These boots are definitely amazing, they have stretchy side panels so they could accommodate a lot of different leg sizes ^^
