A Pinch of Pattern

Ah, vacation. How we long for it with every fiber of our being and then all too quickly realize it may not be as ideal as we had once imagined. In other words, I'm a tad bored here. Now, don't get me wrong, I am loving the desert. The sunshine, the cacti, the plants that attack you, and the bugs...but I am missing my friends. I miss Olympia. There. I said it. I never thought I would but I miss that quirky little place, but I do.
Anyways, here's just a quick little outfit that I threw together in the morning when I was going with my mom to get her haircut, and then out to lunch. This shirt is another Goodwill find that my mom originally showed me as a bit of a joke, I think, but I am a fan of quirky patterns, so I ended up getting it. I think next time I would style it with some darker shorts, but for my sleepy state at the time, I'm pleased with what I threw together.

How sweet and girly is that pattern though? I'm in love. Unfortunately later in the day, after a trip to the library, which I have been frequenting quite a bit, I realized there is a small hole in the side of the shirt, I'm usually really good about inspecting my thrifted purchases, so I was a little disappointed in myself, but it will be a quick fix in a matter of a few stitches, so it's really no big deal.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous end of summer or beginning of school, wherever you so find yourself.

Love and Sunshine,
Rya Pie
