A Year of Hair and Other Such Unimportant Things

Monday, December 31, 2012

So my original plan for this post was to put up some photos of my New Year's party from last year.
Why from last year? You may ask.
Well because Dylan had them on his camera, insisted I did, I didn't, and he did and he just now found them and while I've been absolutely nagging the crap out of him, he still hasn't remembered to give them to me.
I mean, he may still miraculously show up with them in hand tonight since I did promise my friends I'd have them on Facebizzle before they were a year old, but it looks like that isn't going to happen.

SO, what I've decided to do instead is completely irrelevant, kind of, but it will get the job done.
Here is a look back at all the different ways my hair has been this year.
This should be interesting.

January:

February:

March:

Oddly I am in the same shirt here...haha but I promise it's a month later. To the day in fact.

April:

So, I don't know why this is sideways...but Photobucket flipped it when it uploaded for some reason and when I tried to flip it back it squished the image...so...my apologies.

May:

June:

Ignore the fact that I am in my workout clothes here, it was the best representation of my hair.

July:

August:

September:

October:

November:

December:

So that's it!
A whole year of...well...hair.
Looking back at all these makes me so happy how much my hair has grown because let me tell you, when I cut it off for graduation...

And then later even shorter...

It seemed like a great idea, but I missed my hair. And I mean I missed  my hair.
Like, stayed up until 3 one night watching hair tutorials on YouTube and being depressed that I had no hair anymore.
But alas it grows back.
And I think this is an important message about life in general. Things change.
Things are always changing. They will never stay the same. They will grow, they will move, they will leave, and they will come. No matter how miserable or happy we are, something will always happen. And hey, that's ok. That's how it works.
Change.
And whether your change in self-employed (like my ridiculous amount of hair changes that now make me feel quite fickle lol) or is uncontrollable, remember that life has a plan. Life works out.
Life
goes
on.

I hope that this new year brings you all light and love and everything else happy and sunshiney.
May you get through the though moments and may the good times be slow in passing by.
I send whoever is reading this a little ray of sunshine <3
Happy New Year.

Did I mention that 13 is my favorite number? This year will be good.

Lots of Love,
Rya Pie

  1. Sorry this might seem completely irrelevent, but when reading your post I thought you looked a bit like Kate Levering and thought I should tell you.
On another note, I really enjoy reading your blog posts. It's actually one of the reasons I am considering starting one.

    1. So I totally had to google who that is, but she is utterly fabulous!
And I am so glad to hear that someone actually reads this, I don't have any subscribers so sometimes I feel like I'm just talking to myself haha
Also, you should totally start one! I'd love to read it! <3
